The Skyline Tee Sewing Pattern - Sew House Seven

The Skyline Tee Sewing Pattern - Sew House Seven

This is a physical, printed tissue paper pattern that will be shipped to your door.

The Skyline Tee is a classic, body contouring t-shirt that includes five different necklines and four different sleeve options that can be interchanged to make a t-shirt for every season and occasion. Choose between a full length hem or a cropped hem. This pattern has been designed for use with stretch knit fabrics with at least 50% vertical and horizontal 4-way stretch.

  • Intermediate level pattern - due to the V-neckband construction.
  • This pattern includes standard sizes 00 - 20 or 16-34
  • Show us your #skylinetee

pattern features & variations

  • Version #1 - low scoop front and back necklines
  • Version #2 - low scoop front neck with high back neck.
  • Version #3 - jewel neck.
  • Length #4 - V-neck with a wide neckband (4a) or a low, narrow neckband (4b).
  • Sleeve A - slim, long sleeve.
  • Sleeve B - above the elbow short sleeve.
  • Sleeve C - short, cap sleeve.
  • Sleeve D - gathered, long sleeve - gathered at the cap and tapers to a slim forearm.
  • Full length hem - lands above the hip.
  • Cropped hem - lands at the navel.

Fabrics: This pattern is designed for light to medium weight 4-way stretch knit fabrics with at least 50% horizontal and vertical stretch such as cotton stretch jersey, bamboo stretch jersey, stretch baby French terry, stretch thermal knit, stretch rib knit, stretch pointelle knit. Good stretch recovery is advised so that neckbands don't stretch out, however, too much stretch recovery may result in a tighter fitting t-shirt.

Sundries: Thread.  Optional - knit fusible interfacing or tape for shoulder reinforcement (only for extremely delicate or stretchy knits).

Tools: Stretch sewing machine needle for knits, fabric scissors, iron & ironing board, straight pins, tailor's chalk. Optional - twin or double needle for knits for hemming and topstitching.
