Suitable Fabrics:
This pattern is designed for light-mid weight woven fabrics. Linen is the recommended fabric for this pattern, but you could make this pattern from any light-mid weight woven fabric with a little drape such as cotton, tencel, or viscose or linen/cotton viscose blends. You may choose a mid-weight wool or denim for this project, but will find the best results if you line it with a lighter fabric.

If you opt to use a different fabric for your lining, look for a complimenting color, as it may be visible from the outside. In order to use your fabric wisely, you may need to cut out your pattern pieces on the cross-grain. All pattern pieces in this pattern can be cut out on the cross-grain. Please keep this in mind when selecting fabric with a directional print.

This pattern requires between 3.5 - 7.5 yds/meters of woven fabric, depending on the size and view you choose.
