I am CRYSTAL - Pinafore Dress Pattern - I AM PATTERNS
I am Crystal, a pinafore dress that revisits a classic to give it a modern twist, sewable in three different styles. I keep the signature details that make this piece iconic: a loose fit, front and back bib, adjustable straps, a large compartmentalized chest pocket, buttoned side openings, two front slash pockets, and contrast topstitching.
I keep my essential upper details while changing appearance according to the skirt chosen:
-
Long straight skirt: with two back patch pockets, a faux fly, and a back vent
-
Short straight skirt: with two back patch pockets and a faux fly
-
Long flared skirt: featuring a layer of tulle that gives the garment lightness and movement
Skill level: Intermediate
Number of versions: 3
Sizes: Paper: 36 to 46

FABRIC RECOMMENDATION
Garment: medium-weight woven fabrics such as denim, cotton canvas, gabardine, corduroy, cotton twill, etc.
Pocket lining: cotton poplin or batiste
Version C: soft sheer fabrics such as tulle or chiffon
If the main fabric is thick, use a lighter fabric for the back bib lining, the front and back waistband facings, and to line the straps.
PAPER PATTERN
All seam allowances are included in the pattern.
The pattern is enclosed in an envelope. It contains the sewing pattern along with a step-by-step illustrated explanation guide.
The different pieces overlap with each other so you will need to trace the pattern on paper. If you prefer a ready-to-cut pattern, try the pdf version as pieces do not overlap with each other.
Size 36 to 46. See sizing guide above.
